I like that it didn't make me feel jittery or upset my stomach (like coffee sometimes does, especially if I haven't eaten much yet). For me, this would be a better tea to drink before yoga. Tastes nice with honey. I like to rub the leftover herbs in the bags over my face for an easy "spa treatment" once they've cooled a little before tossing out or using in my gardening compost. Samantha, yes absolutely! We don’t ever recommend “starve yourself” detoxes. There is a much healthier way to achieve great results than depriving your body of nutrients for a few days. I would recommend sticking to lighter foods though. You can detox from specific things such as sugar and carbs or you can try a smoothie/juice detox. Update... I made this tea cold and it was amazing! I read that another reviewer said that it had no flavor? All I can imagine is that maybe he/she is not letting the bag seep long enough? Or maybe using too much water? For my cold brew, I boil 4 cups of water and seep 6 bags for about 30 min. I then add 1 Tbsp honey and about 4-6 Tbsp fresh lemon juice. I keep that in the fridge in a glass container. When I want a drink, I fill a tall glass with ice and pour it over. As the ice melts, it dilutes the tea and is the perfect flavor! Add a sprig of fresh mint in your glass and it's even better! This is my everyday drink... delicious hot or cold!
